LIVE, WORK AND PLAY IN THE WHITSUNDAYS About The Role The Corporate Services directorate has an exciting opportunity for an Integrity Coordinator based at the Proserpine Administration Building. This role holds a pivotal position in the strategic effort to foster and sustain a high-integrity, ethical culture within Council. Through effective oversight, this role delivers crucial assurance to the Council and Executive Leadership Team that comprehensive systems and processes are implemented for the efficient management of integrity matters. The Coordinator serves as the central advocate for the Integrity and Ethical Framework, engaging collaboratively across all Council functions to instil ethical conduct and guarantee the highest standards of governance. C Class Driver’s Licence Tertiary qualifications in Law, Public Administration, Governance, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in integrity, ethics, or governance roles within the public sector. Strong understanding of relevant legislation including the Public Interest Disclosure Act, Crime and Corruption Act, and Right to Information Act. Proven ability to manage sensitive investigations and complaints with discretion and professionalism. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate across all levels of the organisation. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment. Experience in delivering training and capability-building programs. Familiarity with local government operations and regulatory frameworks. Certification in fraud prevention, ethics, or compliance (e.g., ACFE, Ethics Centre).
