First Class Machinists are needed Our Machine Shop are seeking skilled First Class Machinists to join the team at Tomago. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will see you operating CNC machines and manual machines to repair or alter CAT components. With a keen eye for accuracy, your previous experience will enable you to interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances to ensure all work is completed to standard. With pathways to Field Service Line Boring, this role requires a strong technical background to combine hands‑on work with an ability to problem‑solve and troubleshoot. As a First-Class Machinist, you will have a safety‑first approach with an ability to prioritise your workload effectively and strive for customer satisfaction. Roster & Remuneration Monday to Thursday 10.5‑hour shifts, Friday 8.5‑hour shifts Hourly rates from $48+ Overtime rates from $73+ *Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience* Skills & Experience Australian recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade essential Experience with manual and CNC Machining (FANUC programming) including but not limited to Lathes, Milling Machines, Horizontal and vertical borers, cylindrical and surface grinding, and surface coatings (Laser, HVOF and Metal Spraying). Basic computer skills. Nationally accredited Forklift, Dogman, and Working at Heights tickets desirable Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is highly regarded. Why Join WesTrac?
