Mechanical Tradesperson

You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team. Responsibilities Maintain and repair a range of plant items, vehicles, and mechanical equipment. Perform installation, maintenance, commissioning, and modification of complex machinery driven by hydraulic and pneumatic principles. Supervise apprentices or staff assisting other mechanics across the area when required. Work within the Mechanical Tradesperson Grade 1-3 structure, with automatic progression upon demonstrating the required skills. Qualifications You are an ambitious, collaborative, and qualified mechanical tradesperson who enjoys working autonomously. You possess good problem‑solving and fault‑diagnosis skills, and are proactive in dealing with customer complaints. With a strong focus on safety, you can identify, communicate and report environmental hazards and understand quality requirements. Essential qualifications and experience: Automotive Vehicle Mechanic qualification with high exposure and experience on heavy vehicles and plant. Current Construction Industry White Card and an unrestricted NSW motor‑vehicle driver’s licence (Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid licence viewed favourably). Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements. Experience in welding and metal fabrication highly desirable. Residence within a reasonable distance from your identified headquarters/depot. The wage range for this position is $1, to $1, per week plus superannuation and allowances dependent on qualifications & experience. Benefits Day fortnights; iPad and work phone supplied.
