We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the staff team for our Prep class (Pre-Kindergarten for four year old girls). This is a temporary, part time position for 2025 working Term time only and 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday. This role will provide support to the teacher of the Prep class. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in working with students, experience in assisting in the preparation and organisation of classroom teaching tools and the ability to work with individual students and groups of children as directed by the teacher. The main duties of this role includes: Setting up for, and assisting with, the implementation of indoor and outdoor learning programs Working with individual students and groups of students to support learning as directed by the teacher Assisting with student supervision and behaviour management including supervision of lunch where applicable Providing assistance for teachers in delivering teaching and learning programs that engage students and promote learning Using effective verbal and non-verbal communication strategies to support student understanding, engagement and achievement Assisting in ensuring students’ wellbeing and safety and the administering of first aid for the students Qualifications: A Certificate III or IV in Education Support or other relevant qualification would be an advantage Current First Aid and CPR certification To Apply: Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
