IDS are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist with a range of demolition projects throughout Victoria and interstate. Working with all levels of the organisation and liaising directly with clients and suppliers, the Project Engineer will be involved in a diverse range of tasks from tender stage to the completion of projects. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will split your time between various project sites and our Airport West office. Responsibilities Contributing to ensuring all safety objectives and legal requirements are observed by assisting in the development of the Health, Safety & Environmental system Implementing the company’s Occupational Health Safety and Environment Management Plans for site activities Supporting project planning and management, ensuring on time completion, to specification, and within budget (determine project schedule by studying plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements) The development and submission of contract variation costing Ensuring effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and other project participants Assisting with commercial aspects of nominated projects, including invoice summaries, preparation, submission, client enquiry and dispute resolution Assisting with client communication, contract negotiation and commercial enquiries Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline Strong written and verbal communication skills Reliable vehicle and driver’s license essential At least two to three years’ relevant industry experience The ability to read drawings and understand financial concepts Risk management and problem-solving skills Employment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history check, prestart medical, and periodic drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy. Candidates must be able to work in Australia at the time of application and must be willing to travel as required.
