This is not your typical machine operator position – we need someone who can think on their feet, problem-solve independently, and take ownership of the entire extrusion process from start to finish. If you're a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of multi-tasking across various production responsibilities, this opportunity is for you. What You’ll Be Doing This role goes well beyond simply running a line. You'll be responsible for: Operating and managing the complete extrusion process with minimal supervision Monitoring product quality and making real-time adjustments to maintain specifications Diagnosing and resolving minor operational issues as they arise Conducting equipment changeovers and ensuring optimal machine performance Completing all required paperwork, production logs, and quality documentation Packing finished products, printing labels, and ensuring accurate labelling Performing routine maintenance checks and preventative care Collaborating with other departments to maintain smooth production flow Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements: Proven experience as an Extruder Operator in food manufacturing (minimum 3+ years preferred) Strong technical knowledge of extrusion processes, parameters, and troubleshooting Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Hands‑on approach with a proactive "get it done" attitude Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks Strong organizational skills for managing paperwork and documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts as required Highly Regarded: Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles Forklift license #J-18808-Ljbffr
