Job Description About this opportunity The Assistant Leading Hand is responsible for assisting their shift Leading Hand to oversee all activities and persons within the production hall. Directly reporting to their shift Leading Hand, working closely with and accountable to the site Quality Officer. Hours of work 07:00 to 15:00 Mon‑Fri Your key responsibilities will be to: Assign and coordinate the tasks for their shift production team Ensure machines operate efficiently and produce conforming product Conduct product testing and make necessary process adjustments when testing indicates it is required Conduct all operations in such a manner as to comply with WHS requirements Conduct all operations in such a manner as to comply with Food Safety requirements Conduct all operations in such a manner as to comply with Quality Standards Requirements As an experienced Machine Operator, you will be self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and pay excellent attention to detail. Previous machine operation experience (Blow moulding experience preferred though not essential) Mechanical aptitude Capable of troubleshooting and resolving problems at the root cause and the ability to make minor machine adjustments to address efficiency and product non‑conformances with the use of small hand tools Strong focus on safety and able to apply methodologies to improve processes A commitment to quality Solid understanding of HACCP & GMP Reliable, punctual, and available to work weekends Hold a current NSW forklift license or be willing to obtain one About us Our vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
