Data Reporting Analyst Location: Perth, WA Requisition ID: Job Summary In this role, you will collaborate with the project teams to define, collect, prepare and analyze data to create reports, charts and wireframes/dashboards for various stakeholders on the project. You will collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to enable data-driven decision‑making by integrating project data, automating reporting processes, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project performance insights. Major Responsibilities Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, define KPIs, and gather detailed requirements for dashboards and reports. Develop or work with a Dashboarding Specialist to develop dashboards using tools like Power BI, including wireframes, mockups, and visualization standards to ensure clarity and usability. Assist with dashboard implementation, ensuring data accuracy, role‑based access control, and alignment with business objectives. Coordinate user feedback to continuously improve dashboard performance, functionality, and user experience. Collect, validate, and consolidate/integrate project data (cost, schedule, risk, finance, safety, others) to produce timely and accurate performance reports and metrics. Monitor project progress by analyzing variances, identifying trends, and flagging potential risks to cost and schedule performance to relevant project teams. Ensure compliance with project controls procedures, data governance standards, and reporting requirements. Education and Experience Requirements Typically requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5‑8 years of relevant experience or 9‑12 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Able to extract, analyze, and interpret data to support decision‑making and performance reporting. Understands cost, schedule, and risk reporting processes and tools used in project controls. Skilled in managing data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards. Familiar with statistics and programming concepts to support data analysis and automation. Possess intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes through training or practical experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical information. Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SharePoint for building and maintaining dashboards and reports. Knowledgeable in financial reporting and risk management practices, including risk register maintenance would be preferred.
