QC Welding Fabrication Inspector – Ventia Workshop Ventia’s workshop is calling—bring your trade, your pride, and your eye for quality. About The Role As our QC Welding Fabrication Inspector, you’ll be responsible for overseeing welding and fabrication quality control activities, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and client specifications. You’ll work closely with trades, apprentices, subcontractors, and clients to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. What You’ll Need To Succeed A basic fabrication trade qualification (Cert III or higher) Weld Australia International Institute of Welding Inspector – Basic (or equivalent) – essential Weld Australia Welding Supervisor AS1796 Certificate 10 (or higher) – essential Strong knowledge of welding processes (MMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) and materials (Carbon Steel, Stainless, Aluminium) Experience in reviewing ITPs, weld procedures, and quality documentation Excellent communication and documentation skills A proactive, safety‑first mindset Bonus Points For Experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors Familiarity with non‑destructive testing (NDT) and post‑weld heat treatment (PWHT) Microsoft Office proficiency and strong organisational skills If you can spot a dodgy weld from 10 metres away, we want you About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
