Role Description This is a contract role for an F/A-18 Casual Simulator Instructor located on‑site in the Greater Brisbane Area. The role involves facilitating simulator experiences for the public, monitoring and providing detailed guidance and feedback, and maintaining accurate customer records. Instructors will collaborate to enhance the quality of instruction and sessions and ensure compliance with established operations manual standards and procedures. Training will be provided for the operation of the simulators. Simulator sessions are mostly on weekends and mid‑week during school holidays. Regular availability preferred. Knowledge of or interest in flight simulators, and simulation/gaming (although these are not games) Preferred Qualifications F/A-18 Type Rating, or similar, and relevant experience is preferred, or have completed a military pilot course and have jet or turbo‑prop experience. Knowledge of Aircraft and Aircraft Systems related to the F/A-18 Experience and skills in Training methodologies, and instructional delivery Piloting experience and ability to provide realistic and effective training simulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and provide a high level of customer experience Ability to provide constructive and thorough feedback Previous experience as an instructor or trainer within a military or aviation environment is a plus Applications should outline experience, qualification, other skills relevant to the position.
