MCK & Co Pty Ltd is a boutique CA accounting practice established in 2008 in West Perth. Our clients vary in industries with most being high net worth individuals and small to medium entities. Our main specialties are the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns as well as tax advice and planning. You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position. Qualifications & experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an Australian tax or public practice. Completed a tertiary education in accounting. Commenced or have intentions of commencing CA/CPA or Tax Institute Chartered Tax Advisor within the next 6 months. A good understanding of accounting principles. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills and accounting practice software. Excellent communication skills and a great team player. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn. A genuine interest in taking ownership of your work and demonstrating initiative. Tasks & responsibilities Prepare corporate and family group tax requirements. Analyse, prepare and finalise complete sets of complex financial accounts including income tax returns and work papers. Maintenance of Company ASIC requirements. Preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS. Liaise with the ATO regarding client matters. Research and draft tax letters of advice. Support the team through researching relevant updates and legislation and put forward your recommendations. Maintain thorough understanding of accounting standards and Tax rulings as they relate to the work undertaken. Job flexibility including working hours and the ability for the right person to work from home on some days after suitable training. Paid leave days for exams for additional studies including CA/CPA or TIA courses and payment of such courses on successful completion. Biannual reviews in June and December each year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
