Description Service Educators are responsible for providing education and care for children enrolled at the service, consistent with our philosophy and curriculum and according to the National Quality Framework. Educators work in collaboration with other Educators, Room Leaders, Educational Leader and the Nominated Supervisor. In respect of the Mission: uphold the vision of the Centre; support Biblical values and truths; speak openly to children of the Christian faith; support and encourage families in need; pray with other staff. In respect of Personal Faith: be an active member of a Christian church; seek regular Christian teaching and fellowship; pray; handle centre matters with total confidentiality; display the fruit of the Spirit. In respect of Education and Care of Children: act in a manner that promotes the best interests of the child; implement a high quality curriculum consistent with the Service philosophy, procedures, and policies; respond to children’s strengths, interests and needs; engage children in learning opportunities that are meaningful, intentional, and spontaneous; provide physical care during toileting, dressing, meal times; support inclusive environment; maintain records of children; and ensure professional documentation. Essential Skills And Qualifications Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and documenting children’s learning and development. Ability to relate effectively with children and families. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to ongoing professional learning. A willingness to be appointed as a Responsible Person. Required Credentials Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. ACECQA approved First Aid (including HLTAID012). ACECQA approved Child Protection (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025) dated within 2 years. Working Conditions Work in a manner that does not pose a risk to self or others; maintain educator‑to‑child ratios; administer first aid and medication in compliance with procedures; ensure safe environment according to child protection and health standards; participate in staff meetings, performance appraisals, and professional learning events.
