The role is suitable for entry‑level or graduate engineers from a mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic background, with some prior graduate, intern, or similar experience preferred. You will work within a 24/7 shift environment in a team of 12 engineers, receiving training and mentorship from senior engineers. Key Responsibilities Facility/Infrastructure Maintenance Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on non‑critical facility components. Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and respond to alarms per standard operating procedures. Assist senior staff with higher‑level repairs and corrective maintenance. Operate plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems under supervision. Follow established procedures for routine work, require instructions only on new assignments, and participate in the 24×7 shift roster. Vendor Support Coordinate with vendors to ensure maintenance activities meet Equinix requirements. Support the work‑order approval process for service providers, including briefing, execution, and final review. Ensure vendor maintenance complies with Equinix standard operating procedures. Site Administration & Incident Support Maintain semi‑routine site logs for permits such as Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts. Aid on‑site administration using established operating procedures. Work Orders & Additional Projects Complete semi‑routine work requests and circuit installations. Troubleshoot and maintain office equipment and auxiliary machinery as needed. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic degree or trade certificate. Willingness and ability to work a 24/7 roster; ability to obtain and maintain NV1 Security Clearance. Maintenance mindset and ability to work under pressure in a mission‑critical environment. Collaborative or independent work style; strong retention of key information and continuous on‑site learning.
