Imaging Porter The closing date is 14 December 2025 The Imaging Department at the world renowned Addenbrooke's Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) is recruiting. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who would like to join the Imaging Portering team. The team of Porters is a busy and essential part of the Imaging Department, working alongside a multidisciplinary team and working directly to ensure a high standard of patient care. The Porters are often the first staff to greet and care for patients who need to be seen within the department. You will be required to undertake a range of portering duties within the imaging department, which includes transporting patients to and from departments such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound and X-ray; working flexibly in line with the needs of the service. Main duties of the job To undertake Portering duties within the Imaging Department which includes transporting patients to and from departments such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound and General Imaging. Person Specification Qualifications Good standard in English and Mathematics Experience Experience in communicating with people, face to face and via the telephone Experience with computer databases NHS experience Worked within a caring environment Experience in Portering services Knowledge Understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues Basic knowledge and understanding of the NHS Knowledge of the eHospital system Knowledge of Radiology or Radiation safety issues Knowledge of Infection Control Skills Motivated to learn new skills Ability to work as a team member as well as on own; using your own initiative Can manage and prioritise own time/work Willingness to learn Flexible in relation to working hours Ability to change from one task to another Additional requirements The ability to understand and behave at all times, towards patients, visitors and colleagues according to the Trust values of Safe, Kind, Excellent.
