About the Role As a Butcher, you will support the preparation, presentation, and sale of meat products, ensuring exceptional cuts and service for our valued customers. Responsibilities Cutting, trimming, deboning, mincing, and portioning various meat products to meet retail and customer requirements Preparing value-added products such as marinated, crumbed, seasoned, and cured meat items Producing smallgoods through careful selection, preparation, and processing of meat Operating and maintaining meat-processing equipment, including grinders, mixers, mincers, tenderisers, and sausage-making machinery Preparing blends, marinades, and curing mixtures using spices, salts, and other ingredients Ensuring meat products are prepared and handled in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards Assisting customers by providing advice on suitable cuts, preparation methods, and cooking techniques Supporting stock control, product rotation, and display to maintain freshness and presentation Assisting with production planning, scheduling, and estimating quantities required to meet customer demand Qualifications Relevant experience in a quality retail butchery environment Excellent customer service and communication skills The ability to work well under pressure Interest in premium foods and their provenance Attention to detail Any relevant certifications (e.g., food safety) are a plus but not required Remuneration Remuneration is subject to your skills, qualifications and experience, but would be within a salary range of between $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + superannuation.
