Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long‑term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future. Job Summary In this role, you will report to a Project Manager - Apron Projects. You will monitor that the contractor is compliant with project policies, procedures, site rules and procedures, and is performing within specifications and schedules. Major Responsibilities Ensure that the work by contractors is undertaken in a manner that addresses and eliminates personnel and environmental hazards, and ensure that risk analysis, health risk assessments, and work method statements, where required, are in place. Provide input into contractor's monthly quality, quantity and technical reviews as required. Review design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specifications for construction associated with the contractor’s scope of works. Review flow of information required from third party companies or D & C contractors to facilitate the timely progress of the engineering work. Review resident engineering progress, quality records and quantity verification against approved schedules, evaluate changes and advise corrective action when required. Education And Experience Requirements Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge And Skills Technical knowledge of related construction systems, applications of engineering and construction methods and materials for major Infrastructure projects. Experience in the management of construction, or design engineering for major Infrastructure or aviation projects is an advantage. Technical knowledge and practical experience in earthworks, civil construction and the construction of aprons and pavements. Sound working knowledge of Australian Standards, specifications and codes. Experience in relevant standards is an advantage. Sound working knowledge of Contract Management.
