The Role The Canteen Attendant is responsible for preparing meals, serving patrons, and maintaining high standards of catering, health, safety and hygiene. Responsibilities include food and stock control (ordering, rotation), keeping the canteen and preparation areas clean, managing waste disposal, and ensuring all equipment and utensils are cleaned to appropriate standards. Applicants must complete an online food safety course. Ideal candidates are able to work under pressure, provide excellent customer service, and may have prior kitchen hand experience, ability to operate an EFTPOS machine and iPad for online orders.
