Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Agricultural Technician (Diesel Motor Mechanic) About the Role This full-time role offers an opportunity for a skilled and motivated Agricultural Technician to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of diesel‑powered agricultural vehicles and equipment essential to the operation of our almond orchards. Working with tractors, trucks, forklifts and various machinery, you will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely to support farm productivity. Salary for this role is between $68,864 to $95,000 depending on experience, and is located at our Myall Park NSW 2681. Responsibilities Maintaining, servicing and repairing diesel engines and equipment used across the orchard. Undertaking repairs and routine maintenance on agricultural vehicles including tractors, trucks, forklifts and associated machinery. Diagnosing faults in diesel engines, transmissions and mechanical components. Dismantling engines, transmissions and mechanical parts for repair or replacement. Performing operational testing to ensure machinery runs efficiently. Conducting on-farm repairs as required to minimise downtime. Ordering and sourcing spare parts for vehicles and equipment. Supporting general farming activities and completing tasks as directed by Management. Ensuring a safe working environment across all maintenance activities. Qualifications Certificate III with at least two years of on‑the‑job training, or an AQF Certificate IV; OR at least three years of relevant experience in place of formal qualifications. Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, particularly with diesel engines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a farming environment. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
