Lead Safety Across Major Construction Projects A leading formwork subcontractor is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to oversee WHS compliance, culture, and on‑site safety performance across multiple projects. We specialise in large‑scale concrete structures, including slabs, verticals, cores, jumpform, screens, and complex formwork systems. This role is ideal for someone who is confident on construction sites, understands high‑risk activities, and can influence behaviour—not just manage paperwork. About the Role The Safety Manager will lead safety management across all formwork operations. This includes supporting site teams, improving systems, and ensuring practical and effective application of safety processes. Responsibilities Conducting regular site safety inspections and audits Reviewing and improving SWMS, risk assessments, and safety documentation Supporting supervisors with daily pre‑starts, toolbox talks, and safe work planning Managing incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and industry codes of practice Maintaining safety records, registers, and documentation Coaching crews on safe operating techniques and risk awareness Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for continual improvement Liaising with builders, site management, and project leaders About You You take a practical, hands‑on approach to safety and have strong communication skills. You know how to work with formwork crews, understand the risks involved, and can build trust with teams on the ground.
