Graduate Design Manager

We are seeking a Design Manager to join our internal Design Team at Hungry Jack’s. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity to start or build on your career in design and gain experience across the full lifecycle of refurbishment projects. You will support the team in managing the design process for Hungry Jack’s restaurants, specifically refurbs by working with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to concepts, assisting with approvals, and helping to ensure designs meet brand standards. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how design directly impacts business success, while developing your skills in a fast-paced FMCG/QSR environment. Key Responsibilities: As a Design Manager you will: Scope, design and make recommendations for capital works that relate to the refurbishment of existing restaurants Providing briefs to external Architects / drafting firms to complete concept documentation. Review of concept documentation in conjunction with the Design and Operations teams. Assisting with the preparation of internal capital approval reports for board approval. Providing briefs to external Architects / drafting firms to enable submission to be made to local authorities for Development consent. In conjunction with the National Architect, review market décor trends and make recommendations/ implement into the Hungry Jacks system. About you: Recently completed tertiary qualifications in Architecture, or a related design discipline. Exposure to Retail or Hospitality Design (through university projects, internships, or work experience) is highly regarded. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work to deadlines. Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset. Eager to learn and develop commercial awareness in a real-world setting.
