What You’ll Do in Your Week: As a Solar Trade Assistant / Roofer, you’ll be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution. Your weekly objective is to work seamlessly with your team and customers to deliver efficient, high‑quality service: Work collaboratively to arrange and perform the highest quality solar system installations, complying with all electrical standards and Clean Energy Council (CEC) regulations. Apply your knowledge of working with roofs to prepare surfaces, install robust solar panel mounting systems, and safely secure solar panels. Assist with the installation of battery storage solutions and other related components. Efficiently handle and manage materials and tools on‑site, ensuring smooth workflow and project completion. Work on challenging projects involving advanced solar and battery technology, continually expanding your skillset. Deliver exceptional customer service with every interaction, upholding our high standards. Maintain a strong safety culture on every job, leading by example. What You’ll Bring to Solana: We are particularly looking for proactive, industry‑experienced individuals who know the solar industry. However, we will review every applicant who is looking for a change, as we will provide training for the right candidates Essential Requirements for All Candidates: A driver’s license . Working at Heights certification and a White Card (preferred, but training can be provided). Physical fitness and comfort working at heights. If You’re an Experienced Solar Roofer/Installer: Demonstrated, hands‑on experience in solar roofing or solar panel installation on residential or commercial sites. A strong knowledge of working with roofs. A proactive attitude and clear pride in your work. If You’re a Skilled Carpenter Looking to Transition: Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter , with a strong desire and aptitude to learn and train in solar roofing and installation. Your understanding of structures, measurement, and attention to detail will be highly valued. A willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques specific to solar installations. Personal Skills & Assets (Valued in All Applicants): Strong problem‑solving ability. Ability to work effectively and reliably in a team environment. Reliable and on time.
