Production Engineer , you'll play a vital role in delivering high quality drill and blast plans to the mining operation whilst working within a fast paced and enthusiastic team.Location
: Prominent Hill, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)Roster
: 8 days on on-site; 6 days offEmployment Type
: Permanent Full-TimeIn this role you will:
Develop drill, blast and production plans.Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure drill and blast designs meet site requirements.Regular time-in-field to ensure drill and blast activities are achievable in a safe and efficient manner.Oversee task observations and Critical Control Verifications (CCV) as required.Undertake QA/QC monitoring for production activities.Monitor and issue of development memos.Undertake stope reconciliations/abandonments on completion.Manage and monitor of the iKon blasting system.Monitor and maintain quality data with respect to underground performance.Undertake any projects as necessary to improve processes and practices.MDP’s required for mine development.Assist other Mining Engineering functions as required.To apply for this role, you require the following qualifications, accreditations, and licenses:
Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.A few years’ experience working in an underground, hard rock, metalliferous mine environment.Proven experience in drill and blast design in sub-level open stoping.Proven ability to work in high pressure and dynamic environments.Microsoft Office and Deswik suite software experienceStrong communication and collaboration skills.
