About the role In Brisbane, our Contamination, Assessment, Remediation and Hydrogeology team is looking for a graduate in 2026. You’ll be based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast office and will work on a wide variety of projects throughout Queensland, Northern NSW and beyond. A degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology is required. Key responsibilities Field oversight of contractors Assist with field scope development, scheduling and budgeting Assist with data compilation and interpretation Prepare technical environmental reports for senior review Maintain safety training for environmental contaminated site work Actively participate in industry bodies such as ACLCA and ALGA to represent the GHD brand Graduate Development Program Our two‑year Graduate Development Program offers a smooth start to your consulting career, with support from peers, managers and mentors. What you will bring Graduate by December 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident 0–2 years experience in environmental consulting or similar Strong interest in chemistry, soil, geology, groundwater, contamination assessment and remediation methods Knowledge of contaminated site regulation and associated guidance Ability to work independently and in a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills to express technical information to various audiences Strong technical writing and data analysis skills Valid full driver’s licence and comfort with long‑distance and off‑road driving (training provided) Application process Screening : Applications reviewed as they come in; majority are screened after the application window closes.
