About The Opportunity: Note: Only applicants with unrestricted rights to work in Australia will be considered and shortlisted for this position. UON is welcoming applications from experienced and self‑motivated Dewatering Technicians on a 2:1 roster to come on board in the New Year. The purpose of a Dewatering Technician is to install and maintain water pumps, generators, dewatering trailers, HDPE pipelines and associated valving while maintaining a high degree of safety. Requirements - Essential Choice of: Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Pipe Fitter or a Poly Welding Ticket. HDPE / PEHD welding experience. A minimum of 2 years experience in open my prospective mine pit dewatering role. Valid load restraint training (Secure Cargo & Load and Unload Goods/Cargo). Wellmaster system training. CoR – Drivers training. Licenses & Tickets - Essential: Current Manual WA HR Class Drivers Licence White/Blue Card Construction Current Chainsaw certification Current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF) Current High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) Current High Risk Work Licence – C6 Crane Ticket Valid Operating Tickets – Excavator (LE) Valid Operating Tickets – IT Loader About You: Good communication skills (written / interpersonal). Attention to detail. Maintain accurate records. Physically able to lift and move items. Ability to follow instructions when given. Ability to work independently & within a team. Mechanical aptitude.
