Mechanical or Electrical Tradesman – Transition to BMS Commissioning Engineer Are you an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Tradesperson looking to transition into Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and building automation? The Role This hands‑on position is for a Commissioning Engineer specializing in BMS Controls. Key Responsibilities: Commission, test, and optimize BMS and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation Assist with system setup, configuration, and integration activities Perform cutovers on live operating buildings, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal disruption Develop hands‑on expertise with controls, sensors, actuators, power meters, thermal energy meters, high‑level interfaces, and a range of BMS software platforms Gain exposure to leading BMS systems including Tridium Niagara, Honeywell Optimizer, and KMC Conquest controls, as well as third‑party system interfacing via LON, Modbus, M‑Bus, BACnet, and MQTT What You'll Bring: Electrical or mechanical trade qualification (Cert III or higher). 3-5 years of experience in Post Trade Electrical, HVAC, air‑conditioning, or building services is required. Strong understanding of control wiring and schematics. Excellent problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills. NSW Driver's Licence and Australian work rights.
