About the Role About the Role: This leadership position is responsible for managing land management projects across Gunggari Country, mentoring the Ranger team, and liaising with Traditional Owners on cultural heritage and environmental work. As Senior Ranger, you will oversee work plans, guide conservation efforts, and ensure alignment with broader cultural and ecological goals. You'll play a key role in reporting, community engagement, and developing the next generation of Rangers. Based in Mitchell, this is a full-time, on-the-ground leadership role. Experience and Qualifications Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team to develop and deliver work plans, timely reporting, initiatives, and project outcomes Ability to pass a Fit for Work medical (incl. drug and alcohol screening) Experience supervising or mentoring staff in land and cultural management roles, including experience working in Indigenous community ranger groups or similar Excellent cross-cultural communication and leadership skills Physical fitness and willingness to camp in remote areas Understanding of WHS responsibilities and reporting Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Residency in Mitchell (or willingness to relocate) Qualifications in land care or conservation (or equivalent experience) About Gunggari Native Title Aboriginal Corporation GNTAC is the voice of the Gunggari People, working to uphold Native Title rights and protect the land, waters, and cultural heritage of the region.
