Manager, Legal Services & Deputy General Counsel Position Overview The Bureau is seeking a Manager, Legal Services & Deputy General Counsel to lead and manage the Bureau's Legal Services and FOI/Privacy functions, drive improvement initiatives and work on a diverse range of legal matters. The Legal Services team is part of the Bureau's Organisational Resilience Program and occupies a position of trust within the Bureau. As a team, we're pragmatic, passionate and generous in sharing our knowledge and working together to get the best outcomes for the Bureau. The team is responsible for providing legal advice and support to all areas of the Bureau on a broad range of legal issues, and managing the Bureau's obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) and Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We're respected for our advice and authority as advisors to Group Executives, General Managers, and teams across the Bureau. Critical requirements include ability to work in a complex and changing environment with multiple stakeholders. Previous in-house and government experience is highly regarded but not essential.
