About the Role Join the pioneering Quantum Biotechnology research project, QUBIC, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nanothermometry. QUBIC is the first nationwide initiative at the crossroads of quantum and biotechnology. About You You will be intrigued by the intersection of quantum physics and biotechnology, as a passionate researcher with a deep-stated curiosity for the unknown, you will join a team who are making a difference. Key Selection Criteria Doctoral qualifications in biochemistry, nanotechnology, biotechnology, cell biology, or biomedical engineering. Ability to undertake original research, as evidenced by timely and high-quality outputs. Contribute to the development and research performance of the research group by providing guidance on experimental design and data processing. Knowledge of temperature-sensitive properties of materials and the principles behind using nanoparticles for temperature monitoring. Knowledge of cellular processes and how they vary in different organelles. Understanding cellular uptake mechanisms, intracellular trafficking, and potential impacts of nanoparticles on cellular functions. Demonstrated experience in biological sensing studies using optical probes / sensors. What We Offer Base Salary Range: $94,152 – $114,672 (Level A). This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. The position is full-time and will be made on a 24-month fixed term basis.
