About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Senior Long Term Planner to support a major Queensland coal operation by managing the 12 to 24 month outage forecast and delivering long term maintenance planning across large mobile mining assets. This role focuses on shovels, excavators, and dozers, providing structured long term plans that support asset availability, capital works alignment, and outage readiness. The position is offered as an approximately 6 month engagement, backfilling an existing Long Term Planning function during a defined project period. The role is ideally based in Brisbane, working closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations stakeholders to ensure long range plans are realistic, integrated, and execution ready. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage 12 to 24 month outage forecasts Deliver long term maintenance plans for shovels, excavators, and dozers Align long term plans with operational and production requirements Review historical performance and maintenance strategies to inform planning Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and reliability teams Support continuous improvement in long term planning processes Benefits Brisbane based role $80 to $90 per hour plus super Approximately 6 month contract Long term planning focus without day to day execution pressure Exposure to large scale mobile mining assets About You Demonstrated experience in long term maintenance planning Strong exposure to mobile mining assets including shovels, excavators, and dozers Ability to manage long range outage forecasts and planning horizons Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills Comfortable working independently and managing priorities Must have the right to work in Australia About Us Maintenance Systems Solutions Pty Ltd is a privately owned Australian company with offices throughout Australia and internationally.
