The Opportunity Working with a tight-knit and experienced team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Major Projects Design and Key Partnerships Lead to drive early project engagement and design services for major projects and customers across Australia and New Zealand. This is a pivotal role where you will combine strong technical expertise with relationship management to drive project success and strengthen Rondo’s market presence. Key Responsibilities Lead Rondo’s design service offer for major and pre‑tender projects. Drive early project engagement and pre‑tender design services. Build and manage relationships with key customers including builders, certifiers, consulting engineers, and architects. Promote Rondo’s products and design services to internal and external stakeholders. Develop and implement protocols for pre‑tender design workflows and enquiry management. Track and measure specification conversion to sales, reducing product substitution. Audit and ensure consistency of engineering design standards across states. Support a safe, sustainable, and quality‑focused working environment. This role reports directly to the General Manager Engineering Design Services and will work closely with state sales managers, architectural specification managers, and engineering teams. The Successful Candidate To be successful in this role you will be a strong team player with a can‑do attitude. In addition what we’re looking for is: Education: BE in Structural or Civil Engineering (postgraduate studies in sales/management highly regarded). Experience: 10+ years in engineering design and project management. Minimum 5 years in cold‑formed steel (CFS) design. Proven track record in technical sales, customer relations, and managing small design teams. Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills. Advanced design capability and knowledge of Australian Standards and codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Thinwall, Spacegass, ColdSteel, and Microsoft Office/CRM systems. Team player with empathy, self‑awareness, and ability to collaborate across states. Why Join Rondo?
