The Public Markets, State Investments team is seeking a Portfolio Analyst in Brisbane to contribute to delivering robust, data‑driven investment solutions for clients, with a focus on listed markets research. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of quantitative analysis, portfolio construction, and financial markets, engaging in asset class modelling, manager research, portfolio implementation, and performance analytics. Key responsibilities Apply advanced quantitative methods and statistical analysis to support investment decisions and portfolio strategies. Develop, maintain, and enhance models and dashboards to automate analytics and monitor portfolio performance. Prepare detailed, data‑rich client reports and research papers. Contribute to the design of Strategic Asset Allocations and quantitative portfolio solutions. Assist in portfolio optimisation, rebalancing, and cash flow management using systematic approaches. Support performance attribution, risk modelling, and investment research across global markets. About You Degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, quantitative finance, or a related discipline. Strong foundation in quantitative analysis and statistical modelling, with attention to detail. Proficiency in programming and data tools such as Python, MATLAB or equivalent and SQL. Interest in applying quantitative techniques to portfolio construction, risk management, and ESG integration. Commitment to continuous learning, including potential pursuit of CFA, FRM, or PRM certifications. Curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
