A.B. Paterson College is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Senior Chemistry Teacher to join our thriving Science faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in Term 1, 2026. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about Chemistry and committed to delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned learning experiences that inspire students to think critically and explore the world through scientific inquiry. Experience teaching Senior Chemistry (Years 11 and 12) is highly desirable, along with the flexibility to teach other Senior Science subjects such as Physics. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver dynamic Chemistry lessons that promote scientific inquiry, practical experimentation and real-world application, with a strong focus on Senior Chemistry (Years 11 and 12). Create a classroom culture that values respect, curiosity and academic growth, using proactive behaviour strategies and inclusive teaching practices. Track student progress in Chemistry through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning goals and academic achievement. Participate in the College’s pastoral care and co-curricular programs, building meaningful relationships with students and contributing to their holistic development. Work collaboratively with Science faculty members to share resources, reflect on teaching practices, and contribute to a culture of innovation and professional excellence.
