The JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality. Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers and employs approximately 50 team members. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position forms part of a small team that is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the feedlot, farm infrastructure and plant. Your key responsibilities include : Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance General welding and fabrication duties Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments and appliances Ensuring that all work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations Supporting other projects that may arise About You Minimum 2 years post-trade experience. Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred. Experience welding and cutting with S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, Oxy advantageous. Ability to work autonomously and in a team. Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems. Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills. Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices. Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures. Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired. Interested?
