About the Role: Applications are sought from suitably qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses to join the Maternal and Child Health Services team at Echuca Regional Health. In this rewarding role, you will work in collaboration with families to optimise the health, wellbeing, safety, learning and development of children from birth to school age—supporting every child’s ability to be healthy and live well. You will deliver services across both Universal and Enhanced MCH streams, in accordance with the Maternal and Child Health Practice Guidelines (2009, reissued 2019), Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Program Guidelines (v2.0, 2025), and the Maternal and Child Health Service Guidelines (2019). Key responsibilities include: Provide high-quality care across both Universal and Enhanced MCH streams in accordance with relevant guidelines and standards, supporting families from birth to school age. Conduct assessments, screenings, and education to identify health and developmental concerns early, and offer targeted interventions to improve outcomes. Work in partnership with local service providers to ensure coordinated support for families, contributing to service planning and continuous improvement. Uphold accurate documentation in the MCH client management system, comply with legislative requirements, and actively participate in supervision, training, and mentoring. Actively participate in mandatory meetings as required and requested. Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice. Qualifications/experience required: Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse and registered Midwife. Accredited post graduate qualification in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
