We are looking for a talented, creative, and experienced
'Head of Operations - Hotels Division'
to join our growing team at BOSS Group which owns multiple hotels among other diverse businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of one or more hotels, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and employee engagement. They will also need to tap into their creative side to enhance and provide a unique guest experience while also coming up with strategies to build strategic local partnerships and marketing the hotel(s).We understand customers' needs and strive to continually better ourselves in terms of our services and expertise. This has been the strategy and mindset with how we work, which has been the cornerstone of our company's leaps of venturing into multiple businesses and making them successful.We are looking for someone who is excited to join this journey of expanding our hotel portfolio with a long-term mindset and willingness to take up challenges in return for incentives.-------------------------Tasks and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:Operations- Oversight of operations across all hotels.- Supervise the functioning of all product areas of the location (front of the house, back of the house, F&B, kitchen, experience) regularly, optimizing all opportunities.- Assist the hotel managers in the management of stock, amenities, and facilities when required.- Present with the executive team to directors in regular monthly meetings and as required.- Regular site visits as required by the executive management.Finance and Budgeting- Work within budgets provided by executive management.- Meet operational/payroll budgets and targets.Compliance- Supervise safety & compliance across food, beverage & accommodation when required.Staff Management and Liaising- Oversight of the staff hiring and training process across hotels.- Manage and liaise with external contractors as required; oversee and assist the hotel managers to schedule maintenance while ensuring minimal impact on the business/guests.Development- Establish and manage sales strategy to exceed revenue targets.- Ability to scope out and acquire new hotels/motels.- Regular review of policies, procedures, opportunities, marketing strategies, and facilities.- Create unique marketing opportunities where possible including social media, events, and brand partnerships.- Generate local partnerships to promote hotels.- Create and implement new systems where required.Guest Experience- Understand and tackle guest concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.- Assist in all areas of the hotel where required by the hotel managers (such as food & beverage operations, events, housekeeping, and check-in and check-outs).- Regular venue, and room checks to ensure the hotels are being maintained at the highest standard.- Come up with nuanced ideas for enhancing the guest experience.------------------------Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management and/or Business Administration. Or a strong background in hospitality management and operations in a similar role.- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.- Strong attention to detail.- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to manage complex relationships and key stakeholders.- Knowledge of hotel management software.- Experience managing budgets and financial performance.- Ability to multi-task and deliver on expected results.-------------------------The role is based in Melbourne.Candidates will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
