Full Time fixed term position available - Long Service Leave backfill until November 2026 Excellent benefits including salary packaging Fitzroy location About the Role DePaul House (DPH) provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of clients who have significant Substance use issues and related comorbities and require a withdrawal service. This is a state-wide service. DPH practises a Recovery orientated approach using the Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice, the position through day to day care works and other activities will actively contribute to the development and implementation of this model. Coordinate and manage the shift to ensure the provision of high quality consumer-focused care Monitor physical withdrawal and respond with protocol medication Provide leadership, act as a role model to staff and coordinate the allocation of resources on the shift to meet the needs of consumers Work within the Strengths Model of Recovery Orientated Practice Conduct comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial assessment and formulate and implement treatment plans; Support intake Deliver & Coordinate group based programs and activities within the unit Develop responsive and accessible services and continuity of care through effective links and liaison with other relevant services There will be a requirement to work a night shift roster. The unit provides a medically managed detoxification, from a variety of substances including THC, Alcohol, methampethamine etc. Clients can stay up to 10 days. Depaul House is part of St Vincent’s Department of Addiction Medicine.
