Associate Consultant - APAC | Expert in recruiting for Construction & Engineering Company Summary: Our client is a leading civil engineering and construction contractor, renowned for delivering complex infrastructure and basement projects across the Sydney metro area. With a strong focus on technical excellence, innovation, and a commitment to safety and quality, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team in Strathfield, NSW . Job Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end estimating for complex civil construction projects, including basements, excavation, shoring, piling, and concrete structures. Prepare accurate and competitive tenders, budgets, and cost plans from concept through to final submission. Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and methodologies to identify risks, opportunities, and value‑engineering options. Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring scope alignment and commercial accuracy. Work closely with construction, engineering, and project delivery teams to develop buildable, cost‑effective solutions. Support pre‑contract negotiations, tender clarifications, and handover to project teams upon award. Requirements 3‑5 years proven experience as a Senior Estimator (or strong Estimator ready to step up) on civil projects within Australia. Strong background in bulk excavation, basement construction, retention systems, piling, and reinforced concrete works. Ability to interpret complex civil and structural documentation with a high level of commercial awareness. Demonstrated experience managing large tenders and working under tight deadlines. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Relevant construction, engineering, or quantity surveying qualification (preferred but not essential).
