Academic Coordinator – Full time, Permanent Location: Sydney Ability to work occasional evenings What do we offer? The purpose of the role is to coordinate all aspects of academic operations and delivery of the postgraduate programs. This role will be responsible for a wide range of functions, including academic requirements, completion, course administration, student and lecturer support. Key Accountabilities The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for the following areas and key accountabilities: Academic management support Support timely engagement and onboarding of adjunct lecturers in collaboration with the Manager, Program Operations and Delivery; Act as the first point of contact for the Postgraduate Programs’ adjunct lecturers; Coordinate weekly online conferences; Coordination and administration of the assessments Monitor, document and follow up on the status of marking throughout the intake, coordinate with the relevant stakeholders on assessment reviews, as required and release marks in a timely manner; Apply College’s assessment policies and procedures, including the administration of the late submission penalties and the coordination of double-marking requests; Coordinate the scheduling of live oral assessments, including all associated communication with lecturers and students Coordination of course completion and Curriculum Advisory Committee Coordinate graduation events in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers; Collate and conduct initial eligibility reviews of student applications to graduate; Coordinate the scheduling of Curriculum Advisory Committee meetings and manage all related communication; About you Education/Qualifications Three years of experience in academic administration, student services or a related education operations role, preferably within the higher education sector. Experience, Skills and Attributes Proven experience in administration and student services with relevant knowledge and training. Excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated experience in and commitment to the provision of excellent student service and service improvement techniques. Demonstrated ability to continuously improve and streamline business processes and procedures. Exceptional communication skills at all levels. Intermediate to Advanced experience level with Microsoft programs, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent time management skills including the ability to deliver requirements to tight deadlines. Ability to work occasional evenings. Contributes to the ongoing development and improvement of department processes and systems.
