Four‑Year Apprenticeship Program Hands‑on experience building, maintaining and running diagnostic testing and repairs on High Voltage equipment up to 500kV. Industry‑leading mentorship, accredited training, and technical experience – on‑the‑job learning, hand tool and machinery skills, welding and high‑risk licences. Work with the latest advancements in the energy sector and help shape Australia's clean energy future. Contribute to major infrastructure projects that drive sustainability and innovation. Receive all required protective clothing and tools. Earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion. Eligibility Criteria Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent) by the end of the year, with sound maths and communication skills. Genuine desire to pursue a trade in the high‑voltage electricity transmission industry. Current driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one shortly after starting. Environmentally and socially responsible, motivated, a strong team player, and eager to learn. Clear communicator, collaborative, lateral thinker, able to contribute to innovative solutions. Respectful of and sensitive to diversity and inclusion. Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen. Willing and able to travel and work away from home as needed, available to commence in January. Ability to work at heights and in/on plant and equipment, with a maximum weight limit of 140kg for safety compliance of approved ladders. Online Testing – if you pass screening, you will receive an email with instructions to complete online cognitive testing (numeracy, literacy, abstract reasoning). Shortlisting – if you have successfully passed the benchmark for the online cognitive testing, the recruitment team will review your application and you will be notified if you have progressed to the next stage. Interview Centre – if you are successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to attend our in‑person Interview Centre in July/August. Pre‑Employment Checks – candidates selected at the Interview Centre will be invited to undergo pre‑employment checks. Offer of Employment – successful candidates will receive a verbal offer of employment followed by a formal offer sent by email.
