Fire Boar Pty Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to begin a Traineeship in Passive Fire and Portable Fire Equipment . This role is ideal for someone seeking a hands‑on trade career in the fire protection industry. You’ll gain real‑world experience while completing a Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing — a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, test, maintain, and install both passive fire systems and portable fire equipment across a range of commercial and industrial sites. Key responsibilities Assist with the inspection, testing, and maintenance of passive fire systems, fire extinguishers and fire blankets Support the installation and repair of passive fire systems (fire doors, fire‑stopping systems) Learn to interpret fire compartment & layout plans and follow relevant Australian Standards Maintain accurate service records and assist with reporting Uphold company safety procedures and site compliance requirements What we’re looking for Interest in fire protection or building services Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Positive attitude and willingness to learn Good communication and teamwork skills Current driver’s licence and reliable transport Construction White Card Must be able to obtain a current police check (can be obtained after employment start date) Must be willing to receive mandatory vaccinations to work in aged care and QLD Health facilities What we offer Full‑time paid traineeship Completion of Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing On‑the‑job mentoring from qualified technicians Supportive and safety‑focused team culture Long‑term career opportunities in an established company About Fire Boar Fire Boar Pty Ltd is a Queensland‑based fire protection and asset maintenance company providing professional, compliant, and reliable fire safety services across multiple industries.
