Customer Due Diligence Officer

Job Summary $37 per hour + Superannuation | Immediate Start | Fully based on Site in CBD This is a critical 3‑week temporary assignment designed to provide essential support during a peak period of Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) checks and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews. Responsibilities Manual Processing & Case Management: Work through a backlog or surge of customer files, ensuring all CDD/KYC data is accurately captured in the internal compliance system. Manage the workflow of ongoing AML checks, ensuring compliance deadlines are met for new and existing customers. Maintain a clear and concise audit trail for all actions and decisions taken on each customer file. In‑Depth Document Review: Perform meticulous review and verification of core customer documentation, including identification, corporate registration papers, and Source of Funds/Wealth evidence. Validate documents against internal policy requirements and external regulatory standards. Identify and elevate any high‑risk findings, inconsistencies, or compliance exceptions to the senior compliance team immediately. Qualifications Immediate Availability: Must be available to start immediately and commit to the full 3‑week assignment (standard business hours, Monday to Friday). Experience: Proven experience in a back‑office administration, customer service, or operations role, ideally within a regulated financial or professional services environment. Meticulous Attention to Detail: A non‑negotiable requirement. Must be highly detail‑oriented and have experience handling sensitive and complex documentation. Compliance Awareness: Understanding of AML/CTF principles and purpose of KYC/CDD checks is highly regarded.
