About the Role Based in BYDs Melbourne office in Mulgrave the Auto Accessory Specialist is responsible for developing and executing the accessory business strategy for the BYD and Denza. This includes the planning sourcing pricing marketing and sales performance of genuine accessories across the vehicle range. The role ensures alignment between product development sales marketing and dealer networks to maximise accessory penetration customer satisfaction and profitability. The role interacts closely with headquarters local suppliers dealers and internal departments such as product planning / engineering and parts / parts logistics. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Planning Develop and implement accessory business plans to achieve volume revenue profit and customer satisfaction targets. Identify market trends customer needs and competitor activities to inform accessory development and lifecycle planning. Work closely with Product Planning Product Engineering and Marketing teams to ensure accessories complement new vehicle launches. Manage product mix pricing strategy and portfolio performance to optimise margin and customer appeal. 2. Product Development & Management Lead accessory concept development and feasibility studies with Engineering and Design teams. Coordinate accessory fitment validation homologation and compliance activities. Oversee supplier selection cost negotiation and quality control in collaboration with Procurement and Technical teams. Manage product lifecycle including phase‑in / phase‑out timing packaging and updates. 3. Sales & Dealer Support Develop programs to drive accessory sales through the dealer network and aftersales channels. Provide sales tools training and marketing materials to enhance dealer capability and conversion rates. Monitor sales performance by model and region; identify opportunities for improvement. Support dealer launch readiness for new model introductions and campaigns. 4. Marketing & Customer Experience Collaborate with Marketing to develop integrated campaigns that promote accessories at point of sale and online. Oversee creation of accessory catalogues digital assets and showroom displays. Ensure accessories enhance brand image customer satisfaction and loyalty. 5. Financial Management & Reporting Set and manage accessory sales forecasts budgets and pricing strategies. Track performance metrics including revenue margin and penetration rates. Provide regular reporting and insights to management on business performances. Key Relationships Internal : Product Planning Sales Marketing Procurement Engineering and Logistics External : Dealers Accessory Suppliers and Logistics Partners Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 58 years experience in automotive accessories product management or aftersales. Experience with OEM operations dealer networks or tier‑1 supplier management preferred. Strong project management skills Strong commercial acumen negotiation and analytical skills. Excellent communication and project management capabilities.
