CHEP, a Brambles company, is looking for an analytical, forward-thinking Plant Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of IT and Operational Technology systems in our state-of-the-art service centers.
As part of CHEP's Technology Services Team, you'll play a crucial role in driving business objectives forward by managing and optimizing complex IT infrastructure, leading large-scale projects, and identifying emerging tech that could reshape our future operations.
The position can be based in either Sydney, Australia or Auckland, New Zealand
What You'll Do:Engineer & Design Solutions: Develop and implement technology solutions for our plant operations to meet business objectives.
Translate business and IT requirements into clear, scalable service models.
Approve scopes of work and manage any changes impacting project timelines or budgets.Project Management & Collaboration: Lead and manage high-impact IT projects in our service centers within budget and time guidelines.
Partner with Real Estate, Health and Safety, Global Process Engineering, and Plant Operations as the primary IT voice.
Maintain key documentation, run books, and procedural assets for accurate plant maintenance.Innovation & Lifecycle Management: Spearhead pilots and prototypes, exploring cutting-edge technologies and automation solutions.
Oversee asset management with a focus on long-term lifecycle and performance of hardware and software.24/7 Operational Support: Be part of the on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure with a commitment to 24/7 coverage.What will ensure your success in the Role:Certified Tech Expert: Microsoft certifications, VMware, and hands-on expertise with servers, AD, Azure, DNS, networks, VMWare/ESXi.
Degree in IT or Business Management (or equivalent experience).Industrial Automation Professional: Skilled in managing complex technology projects within industrial automation environments.
Experienced in network installations and creating infrastructure to support machine vision or machine learning systems.Results-Driven Leader & Collaborator: Able to navigate and lead in an outsourced governance service model.
