Overview Our business was established way back in 1985 and was created to provide a strong customer offering to the South Brisbane region for all battery needs, 12 volt accessories, portable solar, air conditioning and auto electrical work, specialising in touring and leisure vehicles. We operate in Slacks Creek, QLD and strive for aggressive growth through great workmanship, local friendly customer service in battery retailing and auto electrical related services. Our parent company Ramcar ANZ operates a diverse range of businesses across Australia and New Zealand, including battery supply, battery recycling, mobile service and automotive services. Specifically, Battery Traders Auto Electrical and Solar RV have been servicing the local area for over 20 years, offering excellent service and support at our Specialist Product Showroom and Auto Electrical Workshop. About the Job We have an opening for a Full‑time highly motivated individual to be our newest front of house Sales Assistant . Reporting to the Store Manager, you will operate from our store in Slacks Creek and provide exceptional service to our valued B2B customer base in the surrounding areas. The key responsibilities of this role include serving customers, testing batteries in and out of application, providing advice, and selling and fitting products. Responsibilities Provide the highest levels of professional service to all our retail and trade customers Battery fittings and delivery Sale of battery accessories and other services Provide knowledge and advice About You To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following key competencies: Strong customer service skills (face to face & telephone) Mechanical aptitude (Automotive trade qualification would be an advantage) Positive and conscientious attitude and a willingness to provide solutions Highly organised and reliable with the ability and honesty to operate independently Self‑motivated, flexible and willing to adapt to a variety of work Current driver’s licence Previous battery and sales experience will be an advantage In return On offer is a clean and safe working environment as well as training, a competitive remuneration package with opportunities for overtime and discounts on company products.
