About The Role Key responsibilities include: Develop and oversee the department's strategy function with a future-focused approach. Provide strategic advice to the Director-General and Executive Leadership Team on key issues impacting portfolio priorities and stakeholder engagement. Lead innovative media and communication strategies, ensuring alignment with government objectives and commitments. Manage issues and reputational risks, including crisis communication obligations. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment that values diversity and inclusivity. The ideal candidate We are seeking an approachable and inspiring senior leader who has strengths in: Strategic thinking, analysis, and problem-solving to make insightful decisions. Driving accountability and delivering measurable outcomes. Building and managing relationships across government and with stakeholders. Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. Leadership that inspires clarity, engagement, and a shared sense of purpose.
