About the role Forensic AOD work involves conducting specialist forensic alcohol and other drug assessment, professional report writing, and formulating treatment plans. It also includes liaison and consultation with the courts and treatment providers as well as engaging clients in alcohol and drug counselling. As part of a wider team with diverse and specialised skills and experience, you will have practical and expert advice available to support your learning and continued professional development. We're looking for someone who will bring a passion for helping clients to the role, along with a strong belief in humanity and the right to a second chance. The successful candidate will be ethical, self‑motivated and committed to helping others achieve their goal. What we're looking for Minimum qualifications of Cert IV, along with the completion of AOD core competencies 2+ years prior experience in the AOD sector, including the delivery of treatment interventions and therapeutic approaches The ability to gather information through assessment, and formulate findings and recommendations utilising strong report writing skills Prior experience working with clients presenting with complex needs and at‑risk behaviours A strong sense of personal accountability, resilience and emotional intelligence Strong administrative skills including a good level of digital literacy The ability to work in various settings, including court environments Desirable but not essential Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or equivalent Completion of Dual Diagnosis competencies Experience working within the forensic space How to apply If you think you'd be a great fit - we'd love to hear from you To apply and view the position description (PD), please visit our careers website and provide a copy of your resume, a brief covering letter and a document outlining responses to the selection criteria found in the PD.
