The Position The Department is seeking an experienced Consultant Surgeon to join the team The Location Located on the iconic Murray River, this is one of regional Australia's most diverse and progressive regional cities, offering a Mediterranean climate and relaxed lifestyle. It boasts the tenth busiest airport in Australia, with direct flights into a number of metropolitan cities. The region offers great educational opportunities with a selection of private, Catholic and public schools, as well a campus of La Trobe University. Experience respected wine and bountiful local produce that is served up at quality restaurants and markets, eateries and cellar doors. The Facility This is a 165 bed (level 1) Tertiary Teaching Hospital providing care to a catchment population of over 80,000. It provides a range of Acute Services including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health (Inpatient and community services) and a range of Ambulatory Services. The Hospital is affiliated with Universities for the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate Medical, Nursing and Allied Health education. Affiliations also exist for clinical placement and training. The Requirements To apply one or more of the following may apply : Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA Hold or be eligible for the FRACS IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ IMG's assessed by RACS and found to be substantially comparable.
