About the role and where you will be working: Located at the heart of town, our facility has been proudly providing care for the elderly since 1968. We’re dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where residents feel supported, engaged, and valued. As an Activity Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in enriching the lives of our residents. Your day will involve: Supporting residents in a variety of activities, both within the facility and out in the community Organising and participating in games, outings, and social events that bring joy and connection Building meaningful relationships with residents while encouraging fun and engagement At Victoria Park Home, we’re more than colleagues – we’re a close-knit team. We work together to manage busy schedules, share plenty of laughs, and create a positive atmosphere for both staff and residents. This is a casual position, weekend availability required. We’ll also be asking you to: Carefully read & follow care plans Assist with personal care and meeting individual requirements Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility) Building a strong relationship with residents and their families Show compassion & exercise patience About you: You enjoy interacting with elderly people with strong people skills, and take pride in your work. Multitasking comes naturally, and you’re able to effectively manage your time. If you have a caring nature, and want a stable career path, look no further To be considered for this role, you’ll need: Prior experience as a activity assistant or equivalent.
