An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Travel Sales Consultant to join our industry leading travel agency team of experts in our Ballarat store. We pride ourselves on delivering great service and creating unforgettable travel experiences for our customers. This could be just the right role for you? As a Retail Travel Sales Consultant, you will utilise your exceptional customer service skills and share your extensive knowledge of global destinations and passion for travel. You will be responsible for creating personalised travel itineraries managing the customer experience from beginning to end. Your key responsibilities for the role include: Promote holiday packages, flights, hotels, cruises, tours, experiences & insurance Build relationships with customers face to face and online, managing new enquiries, quotes, itineraries, amendments and cancellations Facilitate domestic & international travel bookings and payments between travellers & suppliers Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, cross selling & up selling of travel products Attend sales meetings and achieve targets & KPIs Attend industry events i.e. supplier & product events, ship inspections & travel expos Our Ballarat retail store is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Our teamwork during these hours with the requirement to attend occasional out of office industry events. What you’ll need to be successful Certificate three in Travel or higher, preferred GDS experience in Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo Passion for travel industry and personal travel experience Excellent organisational, attention to detail & problem-solving skills Ability to manage workflow, set goals, meet sales targets & work productively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent personal presentation Ability to attend induction training Monday-Friday for the first 2-3 weeks in CBD Melbourne head office & store. Your public transport travel costs will be covered by RACV.
