Then this role is for you… We are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Developer to oversee development of a core Revenue NSW application ecosystem. In this role, you will lead and guide junior developers while also directly contributing to the development of Revenue's Fines & Fees applications as they modernise to take advantage of cloud-native capabilities. We are proud of our diverse and regional team and welcome flexible working. Regular travel may be required to engage with the team in Parramatta and our partners. About you: Be involved in design, development, testing and support of Revenue NSW fines application, with strong experience in PHP development. The Overdue fines application manages fines issued by different government agencies. Be a hands‑on developer while supporting team members and ensuring that delivered solutions meet the business needs and adhere to coding, quality and design standards. Have demonstrated experience in coaching and providing guidance and training to less experienced IT professionals. Promote and support agile / scrum development practices. Be strong in forming collaborative relationships with business partners, professional stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and other team members. Have excellent communication skills and be able to manage customer expectations. Skills and Experience Required Strong understanding of microservice architecture, REST APIs Ability to write and tune SQL queries for Postgres Exposure to Docker and container concepts and components Experience developing within agile frameworks (we use Scrum) PHP development in SVN, Git PHP Migration experience preferred (7.3 to 8.x) AWS containerisation experience preferred Experience with Zend Framework and Yii2 preferred but not essential To be Successful in the Role You Must Demonstrate Strong experience in AWS containerisation & migration Experience in continuous delivery and deployment pipeline is desirable.
